Message from the President

Dear All

Thank you for participating in the weekly club competition program and I hope that everyone is enjoying the club.
I think that the club is running reasonably well with members just slightly below last year, a good result in a non olympic year.

By now most of the athletes should have used our new hurdles and as I have mentioned before, the committee is planning on upgrading the equipment over the next few years, so if you know any businesses or organisations that might be interested in sponsorship, please see me.

As we are now moving into the championship part of the season, I would like to wish all the athletes who will represent our club the very best. Winning is a part of sport and some will say the most important, however the most important thing in our club is "DO YOUR VERY BEST" If you do this, you are a WINNER.

You will see regular updates on our website for the championships starting this month with the Zone Championship.

TRAINING
Training will resume again on Tuesday the 12th of Jan.

ATHLETE OF THE YEAR

Each year South Easterm awards one athlete a trophy for his/ her outstanding results. The methodology for electing this athlete is based around the results at the state competition.

Gold: 15 points

Silver: 7 points

Bronze: 3 points

Places 4-8: 1 point

MULTI EVENT CHAMPIONSHIPS 2010

JUNIOR AND YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIPS
Entries are now open for the NSW Junior and Youth Championships, a new state Championships for age groups U14, U16, U18 and U20.  For further information, and to submit an entry, please click here.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
This year we have to embark on a new program of registering on line. You will find on our WEB SITE a link to season registration and there you will find links to clubs on line via the LAANSW web site.

Please make sure that you read the registration link on our website for all information.

COMMUNICATION INFORMATION
This year we will continue to inform all members at our weekly competition days of any information that is important and we will update the web page on a regular basis with monthly newsletters. Can I please ask you all to review the web on a weekly basis as the new information will be posted and also you have access to direct links to different web sites like LAANSW
